The Driving Test
The driving test examiner is there to help you! At first reading this may sound incorrect as many learner drivers think he/she will be there to try to catch them out. Some even think their purpose is to raise money for the government from test fees.
These thoughts and similar conspiricy theories are far from true. The examiner is conducting the test to make sure you have reached the basic minimum standard to be safe.
In reality you should thank the examiner just as much if you fail or pass because if you have failed it may have saved you from injuring yourself or another road user or damaging your car.
Obviously it does not feel as though they deserve your thanks on the day if you fail. In the final analysis, the examiner is your freind and you should treat him/her with respect for doing a difficult job with a heavy burden of responsibility.
Just one last word about the driving test, there is no quota of passes or fails. I have over 25 years experience as a driving instructor and if you demonstrate you are good enough on the day you will pass.

Driving Test Nerves
This is a specialist service that helps clients with a fear of driving tests, driving test nerves, anxiety or panic to overcome their issues. We aim to help you to demonstrate to the examiner the skills you have learned without distraction.
Any irrational emotion such as fear of a driving test, driving test nerves, anxiety or panic is in effect the result of the individual concerned hypnotising themselves. The negative emotions of the sufferer, would have built up by now to such a degree that they are unable to function normally whilst driving.
My assertion is that if you can hypnotise yourself, I should be able to hypnotise you a little better as a professional hypntherapy practitioner. Using my skills and experience I will deliver suggestions relating to confidence and focusing your attention on the driving task and not who is watching.
The main thing you need to overcome the fear of driving tests, driving test nerves, anxiety or panic, is to stop paying excessive credence to being judged and to focus upon the task. If you make a mistake it does not mean you have failed, it may be just a minor error that the examiner mentions before handing you the pass certificate.
If you have learned with a good instructor, you can pass a mock test and you both agree that it is time to take a test then you should be capable of passing. My job is to help you be calm enough to succeed.

Our Solution
Stress is the enemy that prevents individuals from functioning to their optimum. Most phobia's, anxieties or irrational fears are easier to resolve when the sufferer is relaxed, up-beat and positive.
While working in my hypnotherapy practice, I discovered that clients with physical, mental or emotional problems frequently improve significantly following hypnotherapy treatment. Also, many clients with less serious conditions report a full resolution to their issues.
I believe the hypnotherapy sessions developed by Nervous Driver creates successful results. The more relaxed but focused mindset you have, the more easy it is to drive the way you learned void of the fear of a driving test, driving test nerves, anxiety or panic.
The hypnotherapy CDs and the hypnotherapy session on the course are designed to help you relax more at home. If you prefer to use Meditation, Yoga or Pilates etc at home then that can also be useful if it helps you relax.
Finally, practicing the skills you have the day you pass will help you develop your successful and safe driving style into a habit.

One Day Course
If you have the driving skills required to take a test, then your driving should be good and you may not need the driving course but if you do, I can help with your confidence.
I've found that the combination of hypnotherapy and driver training produce significantly better results than either on its own in resolving the fear of a driving test, driving terst nerves, anxiety or panic.
The hypnotherapy part of the process helps clients to feel at ease which allows the skills to be more easily learned and remembered. Most people agree that learning is easier to achieve in a relaxed frame of mind.
Clients normally remain calm during hypnosis and usually an element of that calmness remains when they return to full awareness. A relaxed and positive attitude is encouraged during the course because clients who are up-beat and motivated learn and absorb the material more permanently and quickly.
Also, driving should be a pleasurable experience void of fear of a driving test, driving terst nerves, anxiety or panic.
A learner's confidence, attitude and skills often improve in direct correlation with each other following the course. This frequently results in fear of a driving test, driving test nerves, anxiety or panic diminishing or disappearing.
We provide our service throughout the UK including London, Greater London and the South East, Birmingham and the Midlands, Liverpool and Merseyside, Leeds and West Yorkshire, Sheffield and South Yorkshire, Bristol, Manchester and Greater Manchester, Newcastle Upon Tyne and the North East, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Scotland, Cardiff and Wales.
