Phobia Release

We are a specialist service that helps clients with a Fear of Driving or (Driving Phobia) recover from anxiety, nervousness, or panic linked to driving. Our web-site can be used to guide you through the process of recovering or establishing your driving skills through hypnotherapy, combined with professional driver training.

I have worked with clients who have a fear of driving as a professional hypnotherapy practitioner and also in my capacity as a qualified driving instructor. As a result I have discovered that the combination of these two disciplines produce significantly better results than either on its own. As a result I launched Nervous Driver.

The fear (or phobia) of driving is a condition is known as Hodophobia and we focus our endeavours in helping clients resolve this condition. During my work in hypnotherapy I regularly help people overcome phobia's. All phobia's are resolved in the same way, don't focus on the problem but focus on the solution.

What you focus on becomes your reality, if you follow the following steps your driving phobia will disappear.

-----------------------------------

1. Learn to relax

This is achieved on the course through you experiencing a hypnotherapy session developed by Nervous Driver specifically for fearful drivers.

2. Learn the driving skills

You may not have learned the skills properly to begin with, may have forgotten what you learned or lost confidence. The theory and practical aspects of the course deal with this.

3. Practice relaxation & driving skills at home

The self-hypnosis or autosuggestion technique learned on the course will help you relax more at home. If you prefer to use meditation, Yoga or Pilates etc then that's fine also.

Take an occasional refresher driving lesson with a reputable local instructor or join the Institute of Advanced Motorists (they help you develop the skills you need to pass their test).

4. Enjoy the experience

Enjoy the process, you will learn more quickly and effectively when the experience is pleasurable. If you choose a grumpy instructor don't give up, just give that instructor up and try the Driving Instructors Association web-site. Their database will guide you in the right direction, all you need is your postcode.
